DEPARTMENT OF TELUGU
The Department of Telugu was established on 2008-09 as an integrated subjects in B.A & B.Sc. The Department was initially headed by Sri.D.Ramaiah who is a regular faculty followed by a regular lecturer Sri B. Prasada Rao till October 2021. From 03.10.2021, Sri B. Prasada Rao is acting as the in-charge of the Department of Telugu.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DEPARTMENT
• To enrich the knowledge of the students in the subject and encouraging them by involving them in Seminars, elocution, Quiz competitions, Group Discussions, Student Projects,
• The Department is encouraging the students by providing guidance to appear for various competitive examinations and common entrance tests for P.G. courses.
SOME OF THE ACHIEVEMENTS
• The Department of Telugu is organizing of “MATRUBHASHA DINOTSAVAM on FEBRUARY of every year
• Celebration of TELUGU BHASHA DINOTSAVAM on AUGUST 29th every year
• Celebration of birth anniversaries of Gurajada and Sree Sree etc famouble persons
• The Department regularly conducting Students Seminars, Assignments, Debates and Group Discussions, etc.
THE CURRICULUM
The semester wise syllabus was revised in every five years and a Common Core Syllabus is introduced through-out the State of Andhra Pradesh. Recently the syllabus is further revised from 2020 and the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Srikakulam consistently reviews the syllabus and issue necessary guidelines to all the affiliated colleges from time to time.
THE EVALUATION
The Department conducts two midterm examinations, to assess the performance of the students. Marks obtained by the students are entered in the Departmental Marks Register.

1. The curriculum has been designed to provide knowledge on Pracheena Telugu Kavithvam, Aadhunika Telugu Sahithyam, Srujanaathmaka Rachana
2. The course curriculum provides knowledge on above topics.
Assessment of Outcomes :
1. By conducting mid examinations in summative and formative methods.
2. By conducting semester end examinations in theory.
