DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS
The Department of Mathematics was established on 2008-09 as an integrated subject in B.Sc.(M.P.C.). The Department was initially headed by Sri.V.V.Ravi Kumar who is a contract faculty followed by a regular lecturer Sri CH.Naidu till September 2021. From03.10.2021, Sri CH. Naidu is acting as the in-charge of the Department of Mathematics.
1.The department of Mathematics, with the support of senior students, provides free online registrations facility for new admissions.
2.To encourage the students, the department offering rewards in the form of books to the students when secure “O” grades in the Final examinations or PG entrances in exclusively in Mathematics.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DEPARTMENT
• To enrich the knowledge of the students in the subject and encouraging them by involving them in Seminars, elocution, Quiz competitions, Group Discussions, Student Projects, solving mathematical and logical puzzles, improving computer awareness, facilitating them with open access e-resources etc.
SOME OF THE ACHIEVEMENTS
• The Department of Mathematics is organizing Industrial and Study tours to enhance the communication and awareness skills among the students.
• The Department invariably encouraging the students to develop logical and analytical skills by providing them Puzzles, Quiz’s, Brain Teasers etc.
THE CURRICULUM
The syllabus was revised in the year 1993 and a Common Core Syllabus is introduced through-out the State of Andhra Pradesh. Recently the syllabus is further revised from 2020 and the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Srikakulam consistently reviews the syllabus and issue necessary guidelines to all the affiliated colleges from time to time. The Department offers one elective subject in the final year degree course.
THE EVALUATION
The Department Conducts two midterm examinations, to assess the performance of the students. Marks obtained by the students are entered in the Departmental Marks Register.
