Government Degree College,Veeraghattam was established in the Year 2008, as per G.O. Ms. No. 210 dated 8-9-2008 based on the representations of various People’s Representatives. It is located in Srikakulam District and 56 Kilometres away from the District Head quarters Srikakulam. People of Veeraghattam in and around mostly depend on Agriculture. Government Degree College, Veeraghattam is affiliated to Andhra University and gave permission to start four Conventional courses viz., B.A (History, Economics and politics), B.Com.
